•  The largest leases signed during Q1 were: BlueLinx’s 580,252 sq. ft. renewal at 4300 Georgia Pacific Boulevard (Frederick County), Miltenyi Biotec’s 147,051 sq. ft. lease at 1201 Clopper Road (Gaithersburg), and Shepherd Electric Company’s 101,821 sq. ft. lease at 13150 Mid Atlantic Boulevard (Laurel).

•  While leasing volume totaled approximately 1.1 million sq. ft. in the quarter, demand was relatively tepid. About 50% of this volume was due to BlueLinx’s 580,252 sq. ft. renewal.

•  Three industrial buildings greater than 300,000 sq. ft. are expected to break ground in Frederick County, including: Matan Realty’s 1.8 million sq. ft. flex building at Gas House Pike & Monocacy Boulevard, The Hogan Companies’ 1 million sq. ft. warehouse on E Church Street adjacent to the Frederick Airport, and Matan Realty’s 352,400 sq. ft. build-to-suit flex building at Westview South on Executive Way.
