CBRE opens The Hive – a new creative and sustainable headquarters in Stockholm
March 4, 2026
CBRE today announces the opening of its new Swedish headquarters at Jakobsbergsgatan 24, located in the Mood District in central Stockholm. The team moved into the historic Televerket building, owned by AMF, on 2 March.
The new workplace brings together four CBRE entities into one shared office. The ambition has been to create a dynamic and inspiring environment where diverse capabilities and perspectives can meet, collaborate and strengthen one another.
“With this relocation, we have taken the opportunity to turn the workplace into a strategic asset – it is so much more than a beautiful office,” says Daniel Hummel, Managing Director, CBRE Sweden AB.
The Hive draws inspiration from the beehive – one of nature’s most effective collaborative systems, characterised by clear roles, a shared purpose and a structure designed for high productivity.
CBRE has delivered the project through fully integrated collaboration across business units. Workplace Consulting has led the workplace strategy, design, internal project management and change management. The Tenant Representation team has managed market search and lease negotiations, while the Project Management team has overseen the overall delivery.
“Throughout the project, we worked in the same way we do with our clients – guided by data-driven insights, employee involvement and close collaboration across all levels of CBRE,” say Sanna Ridhagen, Head of Workplace Consulting, CBRE Sweden, and Annelie Ejenstam, Head of Advisory Project Management, Turner & Townsend.
By combining reuse, long-lasting materials and clear sustainability ambitions, the result is an environment that extends beyond pure functionality – a place that builds value, fosters relationships and nurtures a sense of optimism.
The concept and design have been developed through close, cross‑functional collaboration, where strategy, architecture and circular principles have been tightly integrated throughout the entire process.
“The workplace is one of the strongest culture-building tools an organisation has – but only when it is developed with both business strategy and human warmth at its core. In this project, we brought CBRE’s strategy and identity to life through a spatial concept where design and circularity actively reinforce one another,” says Niosha Saadatirad, Workplace Specialist and Project Manager, CBRE Sweden.
The project aligns with CBRE’s global sustainability strategy and the company’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. It demonstrates what is possible when strong ambitions meet cross-disciplinary expertise.
“This project shows how function, design and climate impact can truly be combined. By prioritising reuse and circular solutions, we have significantly reduced the environmental footprint – while creating a modern and attractive workplace,” says Linda Kjällen, Head of ESG and Sustainability Solutions, CBRE Sweden.
